Angie supports a wide range of fundraising activities to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors, foundations, and government agencies; coordinates proposal development with senior staff and ACT’s international offices; and ensures the fluid workflow of the development team. She joined ACT in 2018, bringing a background in linguistics and writing to promote philanthropy at the intersection of human rights and the rights of nature in the Amazon. Prior to ACT, Angie worked as a proposal writer in the private sector and taught English as a Second Language for academics and law professionals for several years. She has lived and traveled throughout Brazil, where her commitment to forest conservation first took root. A Fulbrighter at the Universidade do Estado do Pará, she is fluent in Portuguese and holds a B.A. in Linguistics from the University of Florida.
