The Amazon Conservation Team (ACT) is proud to announce that actress, model, and humanitarian Ariadna Gutiérrez has joined the organization as an Ambassador, lending her voice and platform to the protection of rainforests, Indigenous cultures, and ancestral wisdom across South America.
Gutiérrez, who has long been passionate about environmental and cultural preservation, deepened her commitment after recent visits with ACT. In April, she traveled with the organization to the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, where she spent time with the Kogui people—an Indigenous community with whom ACT has partnered for more than a decade.

Reflecting on her experience, Gutiérrez said: “My journey to the Sierra Nevada was more than a visit — it was a spiritual awakening. Sitting with the Kogui leaders reminded me of the sacred balance between humanity and nature, and how deeply it’s being threatened. We can’t turn a blind eye to what’s happening in the world. I believe that if we have a voice, we must use it. If we have a platform, we must lift others.”
In July, she also visited ACT’s Bogotá office to meet with staff and learn firsthand about the organization’s projects across Colombia, Suriname, and Brazil.
Speaking about her new role, Gutiérrez stated: “Becoming an ambassador for the Amazon Conservation Team is my way of being part of the solution — not just in words, but through real, ongoing action to protect these territories, cultures, and the wisdom the world urgently needs to hear.”

ACT, founded in 1996, works hand-in-hand with Indigenous and local communities to safeguard the Amazon rainforest and strengthen traditional knowledge systems. By partnering with voices like Gutiérrez’s, the organization seeks to amplify the urgent call to action needed to protect some of the most biodiverse and culturally rich regions of the planet.
“We are honored to welcome Ariadna as an Ambassador,” said Liliana Madrigal, co-founder and vice president of ACT. “Her passion, sincerity, and commitment to Indigenous communities and the environment make her a powerful ally in this mission.”
