The Amazon Conservation Team conducts its biocultural conservation projects primarily within the tropical forests of Amazonia. Currently, ACT is officially established and operates in two South American countries: Suriname and Colombia. In each case, in-country conservation activities have been designed to address the most urgent needs of our partners and have been adapted to operate most effectively within their respective contexts. ACT also is active in Brazil, assisting a Xingu community in their efforts to develop a model sustainable indigenous village for the 21st century.
