Management of Indigenous Lands: Suriname
ACT is the implementing agency for a project by the government of Suriname to establish the framework for assigning land rights to indigenous and Maroon communities of the interior. Concurrent with this process, which ultimately will create officially recognized and demarcated territories, ACT is assisting the Wayana communities to develop a unified land management plan for their ancestral lands.
